Admission is free, and the grounds are open daily from morning until dusk; allow one to two hours, longer if you wander into the ravine. In 1944 businessman Rupert E. Edwards bought the property and built the estate garden with its great rockery. The City acquired the land in the 1950s and opened it publicly as Edwards Gardens in 1956; the Toronto Botanical Garden moved onto the site in 1959.<\/p>\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\"
